For specialty roasters

Built on Experience.
Built for the whole roastery.

Live roast curves, green stock, QC and full batch-to-bag traceability — one system, built by someone who charges a drum every week, not a startup that's never roasted a batch.

What's inside

One system, not six spreadsheets.

Roasting

A recipe engine, live bean-temp curve, and phase-by-phase logging — charge, drying, Maillard, first crack, drop — so every batch is recorded the way it was actually roasted.

Inventory & traceability

Green stock, packaging, dispatch, and full batch-to-bag recall trace — the exact paperwork a QC audit or a wholesale buyer actually asks for.

Quality

Cupping scores, Agtron tracking, and roast-to-roast consistency you can actually see on a chart — not just half-remember from last time.

How a roast gets tracked

Charge to drop. Every time.

Every roast gets logged the same way it gets roasted — phase by phase, not typed up afterwards from memory. Pull up a batch from six months ago and it tells you exactly what happened, not just what you meant to do.

Works with your machine

Live data, whatever you roast on.

Direct integration

Some roasters — Loring today, more on the way — talk to the Hub straight over their own network. Plug in, and the live curve is just there. No extra hardware, nothing typed in by hand.

Universal option

Any other machine — any brand, any drum, however old — gets live temperature data through a simple sensor add-on. No manufacturer integration required. You're watching the real roast happen, not reconstructing it afterwards.

We'd rather tell you exactly what your machine supports than promise "works with everything" and let you find out the hard way mid-roast.

Why this exists

Built by a roaster, not a startup.

First Draft Coffee is run by someone with nearly 30 years in specialty coffee — an SCA-authorised trainer who roasts every week in a working production roastery. This tool wasn't designed on a whiteboard; it's what was actually needed after years of juggling spreadsheets, notebooks, and half-remembered roast profiles.

Early access is limited to a handful of roasteries.

Tell us a bit about your setup — how you roast, what you're using now — and we'll get you in.
